Selection Criteria for mares

  1. Mares with a breeding value evaluated from the data of the mare performance test of at least 125 points and with a score of at least 8,0 for free jumping or 
  2. mares, whose dams and sires take part in the programme for breeding Hanoverian show-jumpers and who received a score of at least 8.0 for freejumpung in the mare performance test or
  3. dams and full sisters of horses which are internationally successful and are ranked by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) or
  4. mares with own show records and/or with show records of their offspring.

Selection Criteria for stallions

  1. The scores for jumping ability in the stallion performance test. The average score for jumping must be at least 8,5 points and/or his overall score for jumping at least 125 points. Additionally the stallion must have jumper sires in his pedigree.
  2. A qualification at horse shows with the following results: 5 placings in open jumper classes on first to third place or with five- and six-year-old stallions a qualifikation for the Bundeschampionat for show-jumpers.
  3. Stallions with successful offspring. This mainly applies to stallions who qualified already in the year before.
  4. A breeding value based on the data from mare performance tests is at least 120 points.
